CMR Courses
We provide several 2-day courses over the year. The courses are given in English.
CMR in Everyday Clinical Practice
CMR in everyday clinical practice is an overview course of the evidence base for CMR in line with the curriculum of SCMR/EuroCMR accreditation. The course aims to deliver a solid background of CMR as a clinical application in routine clinical practice. It covers areas from the basic MRI physics to the use of CMR in diagnosis of myocardial ischaemia, cardiomyopathies and heart failure. With increasing evidence for widespread use of CMR in clinical practice beyond the niche application for cardiology and radiology, this course will equip practicing physicians with understanding for its use, and practically, with knowledge on ‘when to refer a patient for a cardiovascular MRI‘ (indications, strengths and clinical role). The course consists of with lectures, interactive scanner and case-reviews sessions, and hands-on post-processing session. The course is concluded with a comprehensive self-examination.
The next course date is January 26th- 27th 2023. More details about the course are provided here. |
T1 and T2 Mapping in Everyday Clinical Practice
This is a 2-day introductory course on tissue characterisation with focus on T1 and T2 mapping. The course is intended for clinicians, radiographers, CMR physicists and engineers. The course objective is to provide an overview of T1 and T2 mapping techniques and their current application in diagnosis and clinical management of heart disease, including heart failure, inflammatory, hypertrophic and infiltrative cardiomyopathies. The course consists of lectures, interactive clinical cases, live streaming from the scanner and post-processing sessions. We will link the theoretical knowledge with the application in the daily clinical routine. The participants will receive support with the exam-cards and access to the online webinars.
The next course takes place in September 29th - 30th 2022 . More details about the course can be found here. |
