Institute for Experimental and Translational Cardiovascular Imaging

Our Mission: developing imaging biomarkers that guide treatment
and reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease

The Institute for Experimental and Translational Cardiovascular Imaging is part of the medical faculty of the Goethe University. It performs its clinical services as part of the University Hospital Frankfurt in close collaboration with Cardiology and Radiology.  The department is dedicated to translational clinical research of cardiovascular imaging biomarkers bringing the best imaging methods into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes. This undertaking was made possible through a substantial support from the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (www.dzhk.de) and Ministry of Science of Hesse.

Research

We are developing, validating and translating novel imaging techniques and measures to support the clinical management of cardiovascular disease
Research projects

Clinical Service

High-end, patient-centred cardiovascular imaging service (CMR and CT) is provided in interdisciplinary fashion with University Departments of Cardiology and Radiology

Goethe CVI® Approaches

Goethe CVI®  Academy

Goethe CVI® Approaches relate to a specific set of standard operating procedures and imaging protocols for cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging and cardiac contrast tomography in everyday clinical use. Goethe CVI® Cardiovascular Imaging is a registered trademark
We support education and training in cardiovascular imaging and clinical research via courses, webinars, resident fellowships and MD/PhD programme.  Link to the Academy.
